MonkeyRock: A Species Corner for Nature
at Climate Hub Davos
MonkeyRock is a landmark sculpture designed to create an ecosystem of exchange and solutions, enabling meaningful conversations between participants and speakers.
Located at Climate Hub Davos in a prominent location along the main promenade, it will convert attention into commitments and collaborations, amplified through worldwide social and news media to shift norms and narratives beyond Davos week.

The Science is Stark
The science is stark: monitored vertebrate wildlife populations have shrunk on average by 73% since 1970 (WWF Living Planet Report 2024); about one million species are threatened with extinction (IPBES Global Assessment 2019); and scientists find we’ve already transgressed six of nine planetary boundaries, including biosphere integrity – pushing us beyond the ‘safe operating space’ for humanity (Richardson et al., Science Advances 2023).
Existential risks are rising while the world’s most powerful people are not acting.

Her research transformed our understanding of primates and reshaped humanity’s duty to protect nature. We honour her legacy with daily reflections, commitments and messages of action.
